Zara Beauty arrives to reign in the makeup universe

The Inditex firm launches a collection of 130 cosmetics in collaboration with makeup artist Diane Kendal

Three years ago Zara surprised her clients with a lipstick collection. The star firm of Inditex, which until now had only dared with fragrances, was taking a small step in the beauty industry. This is how Zara Beauty was born, a line that has now been consolidated with the launch of a powerful collection that has already become an object of desire.

The brand has presented an exclusive line that has 130 cosmetics -it is planned to increase it in June to 170- and that has been made in collaboration with makeup artist Diane Kendal. It will be starting next Wednesday, May 12, when Zara customers will be able to purchase a wide collection that includes different types of lipsticks, eye shadow palettes, highlighter and blush palettes, bronzing powder, nail polish and brushes, among others.

“When Zara offered me to lead the creative direction of Zara Beauty, I saw an opportunity to create something that everyone would want to wear. Zara has always reached a great audience, and I wanted to bring that same great vision to the world of beauty, with a collection that was clean, sustainable and accessible to all”, affirms the make-up artist.

Kendal has shown her pride in signing this collection, which can be purchased at her online store and at some of the brand's physical stores. “To have been able to develop such an extensive color line that brings a great sense of fun, while maintaining respect for the highest quality ingredients, is something incredible that hasn't really existed before. Through this diversity of faces and gazes, the collection celebrates what I think is most important in our industry: 'There is no beauty, only beauties,'” she notes.

In this way, the Galician company reaffirms its objective that its clients can find everything they are looking for at Zara, from garments for a basic look to fashion accessories and bags to makeup that is committed to inclusivity and that adapts to all pleasures. "It's been a long process for us, because we want to find the right formula to create the right range of shades, so we haven't come out with a foundation yet," says the makeup artist.

The collection includes lipsticks (matte, satin, nourishing oils, glosses and colored balms), six-shadow palettes, a duo of shadows, eyeliner and illuminating powder, almost 40 nail polishes and a wide range of brushes.

A line whose packaging has been designed by the New York agency Baron & Baron and which stands out for its rechargeable system, since both the palettes and the lipsticks can be recharged. In this way, the product is much cheaper since the packaging is not paid for. Also the shades of the palettes can be customized to create the desired combination.

Zara Beauty has very affordable prices, in line with the clothing, footwear and accessories of the star firm of Inditex. Cosmetics cost between 5.95 euros (nail polish and lipsticks) up to 17.95 euros (palettes of shadows).
