This video does not show how the cosmetic industry is committing animal cruelty on behalf of "beauty", as animals are legal in 80 percent of the countries, according to human society international, and in that list was Mexico until thelast September 02 that cosmetic tests in animals were finally banned.

What was achieved with this prohibition?

It may not seem so serious for some that cosmetic tests are done in animals, however, the point is that they are kept in captivity and in precarious conditions their entire lives, and when they die they are simply discarded and replaced by others, this occurs in companiesthat make shampoo, soap, creams, lightening and makeup.

So with the prohibition that was made to do cosmetic tests in animals, in Mexico, our country adds to the world agenda for animals rights.

Specifically, the Reform Initiative states that tests in animals of cosmetic ingredients, cosmetic products already finished, or some previous mixture are prohibited throughout the Mexican territory, in addition, the reform also proposes that it cannot be manufactured, import or market cosmetic products whoseCompanies have tested animals.

Hence, once the reform is duly published in the DOF, all companies in the cosmetic industry will be obliged to include a legend in which they indicate that their products are free of animal cruelty.
