MORELL | EphThe tambourine trio asks for “small adjustments” in the production of TVE. They will act in second position this Saturday in the final of the Benidorm Fest
28 Jan 2022 . Updated at 7:14 p.m.WhatsappMailFacebookTwitterComment ·They have done it again. And the fact is that María, the grandmother of Aida Tarrío, already said it, «they are... as they are». And that, in a festival in which hardly anyone is what they are, in which every time nothing is what it seems, you pay. Or thank you. Tanxugueiras once again became the protagonists in the presentation of the eight finalists of the Benidorm Fest, which took place this Friday at the Castle viewpoint. And they have been, very sure, without intending it. But when the time came for the press conference, most of the questions were addressed to them. We had been appearing for almost half an hour when we heard for the first time the voice of Rigoberta Bandini, the great favorite to win this Saturday with the Spanish representation in Eurovision.
Tanxugueiras have announced this Friday that in Saturday's performance there will be "small adjustments" with respect to what could be seen in Wednesday's semifinal. «For the first time we went three days to rehearse the three meetings. Now I know where I have to go”, commented Olaia Maneiro, who, after overcoming covid, arrived in Benidorm on Wednesday, the same day the semifinal was held.
This Friday the order of performance for the final was known, in which Tanxugueiras will go on stage in second position. The first will be Rayden and, after the Galicians, Varry Brava, Chanel, Rigoberta Bandini, Xeinn, Gonzalo Hermida and Blanca Paloma will follow.
Tanxugueiras took advantage of Thursday's rest day to view their performance in detail and the images that were broadcast of them on television and take notes for the staging of the final. "There are things and details that can be improved, both for us and for the realization, which at certain times does not conform to what we ask for," they say.
Tanxugueiras assure that there is room for improvement compared to the semifinal. «Above all, we are going to cry for the security that gives us ter been as three x more times on stage». In relation to their intervention on Wednesday, the trio estimates: «At the voice level we are quite well, but we need to transmit that force that we normally have, and that was precisely because of that insecurity».

From the technical point of view, Tanxugueiras consider that they can "impair some movements", but that it is also necessary that they be properly collected by the production of TVE. Among the moments for which Tanxugueiras demand greater care from the director is that of the aturuxo that Olaia Maneiro throws from the top of the platform that simulates a mountain, a key element in the staging and interpretation of the song and that, however, in the television broadcast went practically unnoticed. Or the final moment of the performance, when the three interpret the leitmotif of the song, the "non hai fronteiras", in sign language. The tambourine players also request some sound adjustments that emphasize certain moments of the performance, such as the percussions of Iago Pico or the aturuxo himself. “We are aware that both for us and for the TVE production team it is very complicated because we have very little time,” they comment. «Are there things to mourn? Of course. There are many points that can be more forceful. What it is about now is being able to fight it between us and with the television team in order to start it for the end».
Tanxugueiras sings "Terra" in the first semifinalAs to whether with the introduction of these changes in their performance they believe that they will be able to get the jury to reconsider its position, Tanxugueiras resort to the Galician topic. “Maybe yes or maybe not. In this case, like it or not ao xurado, we are very happy with what we fixed».
For the trio of pandereteiras, who watched the second semifinal from the hotel, "in the final it will be complicated because the public will divide but not vote." Despite this, they claim not to be nervous at all. «We show everything or what we have to show». They announce that, in any case, «whatever happens, we are going to be supporting whoever is going to Eurovision. But to death."
Tanxugueiras have once again emphasized their pride in «being able to represent all the co-official languages of the State. Because “culture and languages will always unite us. Iso never subtracts.
At this point in the week and the festival, Tanxugueiras confess that they are not too aware of everything that is happening in Galicia around them. “Here we are like we never burbulla”. Regarding their return to earth, they confess that "it is a little scary but on the other hand we are very excited." The general feeling of the trio is summed up by Sabela Maneiro: «This is wonderful and everything is happening to us too, but we are very excited that it will come to the end and go to the house. We are a little tired and we need a little normality ».
Rayden's promise to Tanxugueiras if he goes to Eurovision
PM
«If I win the Benidorm Fest, I'll take Tanxugueiras as choristers to Eurovision». That is the promise that Rayden, one of the four qualified for the Benidorm Fest final in the second semi-final, made during the subsequent press conference.
The rapper, who performed on the Calle de la llorería stage, was one of the winners of the night along with Rigoberta Bandini, Xeinn and Gonzalo Hermida, and they will face Chanel, Tanxugueiras, Varry Brava and Blanca in the grand final this Saturday Pigeon. Only one of them will get the direct pass to Turin.
