The adventure of adidas and Prada did not expire with this first approach. Less than a year later, in August 2020, a second collaboration was announced that would result in the launch of three variants of the Superstar, a model that had just celebrated its 50th anniversary (they first went on sale in 1969). - One pair in all black, one in black and white, and one in silver with white accents.

On this occasion, the label marked a price of 449.95 euros. A figure far from the numbers that are handled in the permanent catalog of adidas, but more attainable compared to the first collaboration -although it must be taken into account that this second drop was sold without a matching bag, a factor that lowered the final cost- . Its commercial success, once again, was indisputable and made Prada an honorary participant in both sneaker and pop culture, since we must remember that the Superstar jumped from the basketball and skate courts to the asphalt thanks to the My Adidas of Run-DMC, theme published in the mid-80s.

And what can we expect from the new adidas x Prada? By expanding their universe with accessories and clothing, it seems that the German brand and the Italian firm intend to show that their affair, far from being anecdotal, seeks to solidify itself in order to end up being unstoppable. Let us also bear in mind that the Belgian Raf Simons is also part of this equation since his appointment as creative co-director of the Milanese badge in February 2020. Of course, the price of the different designs has not yet been discussed, although it has been has confirmed that, as has happened on previous occasions, the entire proposal has been made in Italy by Prada artisans.
