The Córdoba Stock Exchange considered that the agreement is important "but not enough"
The Córdoba Stock Exchange considered the understanding reached between the national government and the IMF "important", but considered that it is not "sufficient" among other things because most of the necessary reforms in the economy will remain for the next administration.
"The rapprochement of positions of the national government with the International Monetary Fund results in an important step towards a path of order in the field of economic policy and reintegration with the international community", introduces the statement of the entity chaired by Manuel Tagle ( h).
However, "it is important to highlight that the agreement with the IMF is configured as a necessary condition to avoid deepening the imbalances in the Argentine macroeconomy, but not enough to solve them," he warned.

For the organization, "although the meeting points between the government and the IMF contemplate a reduction of the fiscal deficit and its monetary financing, its time horizon seems distant, leaving most of the fiscal effort to be carried out by the next government and without certainties of how the excess of expenditures over the income of the national public sector will be financed during this process”.
“In order to achieve sustained growth of the economy that fully reaches all of society, a political commitment is required at this point, which is positioned as the greatest structural weakness of the Argentine economy, in order to recover in the future, the long-awaited monetary stability hand in hand with a necessary fiscal balance”, he concluded.
