For the good of culture

During my busy life, due to my profession, I have had to live and travel in different countries of the world and have accumulated a huge amount of books. Already established in Catalonia, I decided to put order and lighten my full library.

Relying on previous experiences such as when I moved from New York and other very distant places, I carried out the same operation and donated them to the municipal libraries, where they accepted them with a thousand loves. I thought, selected and put in various bags a good number of copies of art, history, anthropology, novels in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, German, and proudly went to the large and newly opened library of the Bisbal d'Empordà ( not exactly plenty of volumes). What was not my surprise, that with one of the bags in hand, the others in the car parked at the door, I received the blunt response from the secretary: "We do not accept donations."

I wonder what I am expected to do with these books: leave them in a container? Will there be a special color for them? It's all about the culture.
