Dogs can already go to Puerto Venice

Puerto Venecia is already a 'Dog Friendly' area that can be accessed with a dog. The shopping center has adopted this policy, and allows these animals to enter the 'Gallery' area, since until now, they could only remain in the outdoor areas. Thus, the complex advances in its commitment to coexistence between pets and visitors.

Since its opening, Puerto Venecia has allowed dogs access to open areas, therefore it has a waste bag dispenser service in the outdoor bins. Now, it also offers citizens the possibility of entering the shopping arcade area with them. Most of the establishments have adhered to this initiative, and display the 'Dog Friendly' accreditation at their entrance, except for the Restoration and La Plaza areas, where dogs will only be allowed in the Terrazas area and with prior authorization.

To welcome these new visitors, the shopping center will give all those who come to the customer service point a gift of a bag holder bone and a bottle to clean and disinfect, along with a note to raise public awareness.

Thus, the shopping center guarantees adequate cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises, thus facilitating coexistence between pets and visitors. To demonstrate this commitment, the complex has involved its employees in the 'Dog Friendly' promotional campaign, in which images of their own dogs appear. “We want to be an example and be able to enjoy a space for coexistence that is comfortable for everyone”, explains Yolanda Gimeno, manager of Puerto Venecia.

The 'Dog Friendly' policy is accompanied by some recommendations, such as not taking dogs onto the escalators because they can hurt their paws and using the elevator whenever it is necessary to move between floors. In addition, there are other mandatory rules: pets must always be on a short leash and carried by an adult.
