On Sunday, September 19, renowned designer Roberto Piazza presented his “Royal Jewels” collection, inspired by his European royal friends. The presentation took place in the Vonharv room in the city of La Plata. Within the framework of the haute couture parade, funds were raised for the foundation that Piazza created with the aim of fighting against the abuse of minors. The humorist and presenter from Nuevo Juliense K Pocha (Ruben López) participated in the dissemination of the event. About a year ago K Pocha had interviewed Piazza on Instagram, in the midst of a pandemic via video call. In dialogue with K Pocha, Piazza recalled that he had not been to La Plata for 20 years. In the framework of an interview with the man from Nuevo Juliense, the renowned designer returned to doing fashion after more than two years, an activity affected by the pandemic. He clarified that in parallel he had an artistic participation in a recital at "Café la Humedad". Roberto Piazza expressed his joy at "returning to Argentina and having a show in La Plata, to begin with." "I am in Argentina and I can start doing something. Presenting the collection in La Plata is a takeoff," said Piazza, who received calls from Córdoba, Neuquén, Chubut and other places, to carry out shows before the end of the year. Roberto Piazza clarified that funds were raised through his Foundation for the donation within the framework of the fight against child abuse. The funds did not come from the value of the ticket but from sales at the ticket booth. The Foundation does not receive help from any government establishment. Piazza also anticipated that it would be very difficult to carry out the parade presenting the complete collection in the City of Buenos Aires because it would take time for preparation. «It makes me very sad not to be able to do my collection in the Capital because I always did it there first, and then I toured the whole country. He had a tour that started in Mexico, then Madrid, Marbella, Ibiza, Dubai, but all of that was cut short," he said, overcoming health problems, now he is working to overcome "everything that was left stranded." In the interview with K Pocha, Roberto Piazza explained that the activities of the schools were being carried out online and clarified that he was affected by health problems. Haute couture was stopped for approximately two years.
