Leticia and Fernando's wedding in Asturias: a celebration full of charm at the Palacio de Meres

Leticia and Fernando celebrated their wedding in Asturias on October 30. The northern region is his favorite place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the capital, where they both reside, and it was also the scene of the marriage proposal. "It was beautiful, surrounded by mountains and that beautiful green that only Asturias has: at that moment we knew we would get married there," Leticia recalls.
The couple said yes, I do at the Palacio de Meres, in a religious ceremony enlivened by the Piacevole string quartet. “As soon as we entered the Meres Palace, it was clear to us: a family-run, rustic and incredibly well-cared-for enclosure, full of details and with its own chapel, which we loved so that all the magic would remain there. We were looking for a place with which we could feel identified and that would transmit the Asturian essence. We couldn't have chosen better”, assures the bride.
Leticia and Fernando wanted a personal wedding with attention to detail, so they decided to take care of the entire organization of the event themselves. "Our goal was to convey the close relationship we have with Asturias," they explain. Thus, from the decoration to the banquet, it was orchestrated around the tradition of the region. For the flowers, they trusted María, from Flor de Pasión, whose family is originally from the same village as Fernando. "Together we decided that the color palette revolve around autumn, with burgundy, light pink, white and green tones as the protagonists," says Leticia. In this desire to transfer the essence of the area to the guests, gastronomy played a fundamental role. Thus, they opted for the Real Balneario de Salinas catering, which offered a cocktail and a meal, in the words of the bride and groom, "unbeatable".

The choice and design of the wedding dress was, according to Leticia, one of the best parts of the process. She met Alejandra Oria through a co-worker and, seeing her designs, she knew that she would be one of the first creators she would visit. “Without a doubt, what I liked the most about her was her vision, wanting to bring fashion closer to the world of brides, daring with more groundbreaking designs. She fit in perfectly with me because she was looking for something unconventional and with which at the same time I would feel very me. ”, She acknowledges.
The result was a dress that mixed a fitted silhouette with organza on the neckline, back and train and, finally, puffed sleeves that became the absolute protagonists of the design. “It was lucky to find her and wonderful all these months of tests, that I have not been able to enjoy her more. We have a super special connection and without a doubt I would choose her again a thousand times, ”she concedes. The look was completed with Jimmy Choo shoes, jewelry from his two grandmothers and the engagement ring that Fernando designed together with María Monge.
The couple defines their wedding in Asturias as a careful, personal celebration and, above all, full of happiness. This is demonstrated by the photographs of the day, the work of Plata.forma. “They know how to capture moments like no one else, with a naturalness, elegance and unique roll”.Wedding
