“I think we are all coming out of the thinning brow phase, and a lot of people want to get their brows done after their previous decision to over pluck them,” said Jasmine Winsett, an esthetician in Boise, Idaho, who charges $55 for its laminating service. She stated that she has performed over 500 brow foils since she began offering the procedure in 2020.

Winsett attributes the rise in popularity to social media. The hashtag #browlamination (#cejaslaminadas) gathers around 1.4 million posts on Instagram and has amassed more than 365 million views on TikTok.

After seeing singer and influencer Madison Beer sculpt her brows to the perfect degree of thickness in an online makeup tutorial, 26-year-old Ashley Gross wanted to try doing the same. Gross, who works in social media, started googling cosmetic products that would take her brows to this desired new level, but instead she came across the process of brow foiling.
