A recent example was the choice of a publication that sought to promote the beauty of the state of Chiapas using the image of a white model with green eyes, which also wore the typical suit of the region. Social media users criticized the fact that the culture of this state was not exalted by showing one of the women who manufactures this garment and who belongs to the native peoples.

At the same time, there are people who are struggling to change industry, such as models of indigenous descent that have succeeded in breaking the beauty standards imposed to show that the idea of 'aspirational profiles' is becoming increasingly obsolete.
