How to illuminate the eyes with white shadow - know all the steps

White tones are usually the least used when applying makeup, mainly because we don't know how to use them and, therefore, we think that the result will be too eccentric and unnatural makeup. However, a white eyeshadow can be very flattering if we know how to apply it, since we can, on the one hand, illuminate our eyes and, on the other, enlarge our eyes so that they look much more attractive.

In this OneHOWTO article we show you how to illuminate the eyes with white shadow through a series of tricks and makeup techniques that are very easy to do. Keep reading and give a different style to your look.

The first step for this look is to use a concealer and cover any skin imperfections. To do this, apply a little of this product just over the area that we want to cover, for example, dark circles, and spread it with your fingers giving small touches until it is unified with our skin tone. You should also take into account the color of the dark circles to choose your concealer well. Thus, if they are purple, you should choose a yellow tone, and if they are yellowish, you should choose a concealer in lilac tones.

In order for the eye shadow to look better, it is advisable to first use a makeup base for our eyes. In this way, the color of the eyelids and the contour of our eyes is uniform with the rest of the skin. To use, simply add a small amount to your fingers or a makeup sponge and apply to the eyelids and around the eyes until the product is fully absorbed and even.

The next step will be to use the white shadow as a highlighter. It is important that we measure the quantities well so that the result is an illuminated look and larger eyes. To do this, take a makeup brush and when you have added a little eyeshadow, you should apply it on the inner part of the upper eyelid, very close to the tear duct up to the beginning of the lower eyelid. Then you must blend the product so that a very artificial effect is not seen.

We can also illuminate dark circles with this white eyeshadow. To do this, you can use the same brush and apply it just below the dark circles, making a semi-circle from near the bridge of the nose, to the outer part of the eyes. Once you have drawn the line, blend it with a makeup sponge, dabbing lightly all over the drawing.

To achieve a more impressive look, you can also apply two eyeshadows in brown tones (one lighter and one darker) on the eyelids since, in this way, you get a very flattering color contrast.

Start by applying the light shadow from the inner part to the middle of the mobile lid of the eye. And then apply the darkest shade of brown from that point to the outermost part of the eye. When you're done, blend the two cosmetics until they're well blended.

To finish making up your eyes, you can apply a black eyeliner on the water line of the upper eyelashes. Try to make the line little by little so that the drawing is fine and without irregular lines. Then apply mascara to your lashes, both above and below, making zig zag movements so that there are no lumps on them.

Once you have applied the eye shadows and eyeliner, you should make up your eyebrows to further highlight the light in your eyes. To do this, you must apply a corrector of the tone or color of your eyebrows on the gaps that you have in them using a makeup brush. If you don't want such a leafy effect, you can blend the concealer a bit with your fingers.

To finish off this spectacular and, at the same time, natural look, you can add a little blush on your cheekbones and a red lipstick on your mouth. In this way, you will be the center of all eyes.
