Modifications to the INE Projects portfolio for the organization of the mandate revocation exercise

The National Electoral Institute (INE), in accordance with the provisions of the Political Constitution, is the autonomous body responsible for organizing federal elections, that is, the election of the Presidency of the Republic, as well as the Chamber of Senators and Senatorsand the corresponding Chamber of Deputies and Deputies.Likewise, and in coordination with the Local Electoral Public Organizations (OPLE) of the Federative Entities, the local elections in which the Government of the States is renewed, as well as the legislatures of the local congresses and the authorities of the different municipalities that make upEach entity.

According to the Constitution, it is also the INE in charge of organizing, disseminating and making known the results of the citizen participation processes that are carried out, such as the popular consultation last year and the revocation of mandate, if the fulfilled theestablished requirements for this.In this sense and in accordance with the provisions of the General Law of Electoral Institutions and Procedures, the INE has a General Council that is its highest management body, responsible for monitoring compliance with constitutional and legal provisions in electoral matters.This instance has permanent, temporary commissions or other auxiliary bodies for the best performance of its powers.One of these instances is the Executive General Meeting that, among its multiple powers is to propose to the General Council of the INE the institution's general policies and programs.In this sense and attending to the agreement of its General Council taken on December 30, 2021, which, in compliance with the suspension incidents resolved by the Recess Commission of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation in the suspension incidentsof the constitutional controversies 224/2021 and 226/202, and of the SUP-JE-282/2021 judgment and its accumulated of the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federal, for which the INE was ordered to continue with theOrganization of the mandate revocation process, which will have verification in April, the Executive General Board approved modifications to the INE Institutional Portfolio.Among the main modifications to this portfolio, the following aspects include:

-Modifications to specific projects such as the intense annual campaign to update the electoral roll, as well as the issuance of the nominal list of voters for the exercise of revocation of mandate;

-Personnel Contract for support in the activities inherent in the verification of citizen support signatures that support the realization of this exercise;

-Adquisition of documentation and electoral material with security elements;

-Reduction of operating times, as well as the amount of financial support that will be assigned to the electoral counselors of both the local councils (which in the country are 32) and the district councils (which are 300 because of the same numberof federal electoral districts) for the exercise of revocation of mandate;

-Contraction of electoral supervisors and trainers whose main function will be to visit, sensitize and train the citizens to participate as an official or official in the directive tables that are installed throughout the country, to receive the response of the citizenship toThis unpublished exercise;
