How can I save the Covid certificate on the mobile to always have it ready?

Since a few days ago, the covid certificate is already essential to access bars and restaurants, gyms, nightlife venues, residences for the elderly and also weddings. With the arrival of the increase in infections due to the sixth wave of the coronavirus and the omicron variant, the Catalan government has extended the use of the covid passport to avoid further restrictions, such as limiting capacity or reducing hours.

The certificate is obtained through the La Meva Salut web application, but once downloaded, we do not always know how to save it in our files. The Betevé web portal explains, step by step, how to save your covid certificate to your mobile phone -Android and iOS— to always have it ready.

Android

If your mobile is an Android and you want to always have your covid certificate at hand to show it even when you do not have an internet connection, the first thing you will have to do is go to the La Meva Salut website or application and download it the passport. Then you will have it on the mobile. The next step will be to save it so you don't have to look for it every time you're asked for it in a venue and you want to enter.

When you have downloaded the covid certificate, go to the website app.getcovidpass.eu. Choose the Create my own option. The page will ask you to accept the processing of the data to create the covid passport in your mobile wallet. When you accept, you have two options: scan the QR of your covid certificate or upload the document in PDF, JPG or PNG format. You can choose the option you want. Then, the system will read the information and create a digital pass that you can download immediately and save in the "wallet" of your mobile. If you do not have the Yourwallet application, you will need to download it from Google Play.

Apple

If you have an iPhone, first you have to download the passport from the La Meva Salut website or application. As soon as you have the document on your phone, go to the website app.getcovidpass.eu. The first thing the page will ask you is to accept the processing of your data, which will only be used to create the covid passport in your mobile wallet. Once that is done, you have the option of scanning the QR of your covid certificate or posting it in PDF, JPG or PNG format. Then, the web will ask you to allow the pass for Apple Wallet and you can now add the covid certificate to the mobile wallet.
