Anger over anti-Covid measures in hotel

A national tourist rode in anger the day before yesterday in a hotel in the city because he did not find the application of the sanitary protocol, he argued that he is not "a freak" to be sanitized, canceled his room and left.

The incident was reported by the President of the Mexican Hotel Association in Yucatán, Juan José Martín Pacheco, who became aware and asked his affiliate to be whoever he is, must comply with the biosecurity standard in the tourism industry.

Martin Pacheco said that upon arrival of the tourist at the hotel, the staff asked him to wear his mouth cover and sprinkled sanitizing on his suitcase, which upset the visitor, who claimed that he did not agree with the disinfection of the suitcase, cancelled his room and retired.

Martín Pacheco also reported that Yucateco hotelers did very well because on average they had a general occupation of 60.68% from December 25, 2021 to January 2, 2022. In Mérida the occupation was 57% and in the interior of the state 71.45%.
